Ham Shack open Mon-Fri from 7pm-10pm

The Mesa ARC in partnership with HeatSync Labs has worked to establish a community Ham Shack at HeatSync Labs, 140 W. Main St.  Immediately after the establishment of the Ham Shack, the Board of Coordinators for Mesa ARC voted to permit any REGISTERED MEMBER OF THE CLUB to use the club call WM7RC from this location provided that they are trained and approved by Sr. Leadership.  Unless otherwise directed by Sr. Leadership, members may only use the club callsign from this one location.

Restrictions / Use Policies

  • Must be a registered club member in good standing
  • Must have either attended either
    • A weekend camping field trip with the Mesa ARC as a member; or,
    • As a member of the Mesa ARC visited us on one of our Elmer night for training on the equipment.
  • Must be added to the list of authorized users of the callsign by either the President or Vice President
  • Must sign in and out on the login sheet in the binder at the station
  • Must log all contacts in the contact log binder at the station.
  • Must hold a valid US General or Canadian Basic Plus or higher class license
    • Technicians or Canadian Basic are authorized for 10 metres and above only.
  • The club callsign is not used during the follow times / events
    • The Friday immediately before or Monday immediately after the 4th Weekends in February, June, and October;
    • The 4th weekend in April; or,
    • any other time as directed by Sr. Leadership.

Club members may request permission to use the Club call by click on the 'Contact Us' link and selecting 'Request Ham Shack Privileges' under the category.  You will be notified of our decision, too include additional requirements, via email.

The Hamshack is open from 7pm to 9pm nightly.  24/7 access to the hamshack is available to Basic Members of HeatSync Labs.   Click Here for the HeatSync Labs Membership Page.
